Poetry and life go hand in hand; neither can truly be understood, but both are greatly adored.

"Strength"

Another of my older Romance poems.

"Strength"

Strike me down in the shame of my youth,
Arm yourself with pain and proof,
The rope around my neck a noose.
All the while you wager bet,
But harm my soul you still have yet.

Cut my wrists and slash my throat,
With the lies of which you wrote,
Destroying me is what you hope.
As you stab, in my back,
I care not your truth, it has no fact.

You'll fade away you the fool,
You'll lose your strength, of the mule,
For your words are string, a tangled spool.
You'll pass an unfinished goal,
you cant harm me, my strength is my soul.
