"To you, I must be a fool."

Summer of 2013 really pulled me back into writing poetry. I think I wrote some of my best poems yet in that time. Here is one of them.

I talk, I speak just for a time,
In one word holds a million rhyme.
A speech so content of thoughts so divine,
So wholly perceived, your dreams more vivid than mine.
To foolish of me to stray from the line,
Social the ocean, you swallow its brine.
A god so content, your thoughts so climb,
You talk you speak, your words are so twine.
I’ve spoken before but you’ve never the time,
Hollow the ears where wise words chime.
An intellectual, deciding fate with a sip of the wine,
Blessed fleece in your thoughts are so lined,
With you they argue, those fools must be blind.
We all have a side that’s insane I find,
At least unlike you, I’m conscious of mine.
