Sonnet II
“A Sonnet for My Lady”

Make love to me oh sweet lady,

My passion is stronger than the Nile.

I’ll love you forever, never a maybe,

An innocent love just like a child.

If only with you I could dance --

You stole my mind in mid day-dream.

We’d swing together a fine romance,

We’d flow a smooth and peaceful stream.

There is a time when we must awake,

My heart is pierced by a dreadful lance.

I’ll dream again for heaven’s sake,

I’ll never forget your beautiful stance.

And I will hold you tight, and till the end of time,

If you hold me tonight, and promise me you’re mine.
